Hey THINKING GIRLS!

Here’s the SCOOP for the week ending 3/9/13

1. Where you can find me this week:

I am guest posting this week over at Leaving a Legacy.  Just a little something to encourage all of my fellow part-time-single-moms, whether you do this every week or occasionally, I hope it helps you!


 

2.  BLOG News of the week

  • First, you may have noticed a new look here at Life on Funki Planet.  I’m simplifying my life and hopefully this will help me in that endeavor.  I hope you like the new look.
  • Second, Google+ revamped their cover photos this week – meaning, everything changed.  If you are a Google+ user, and I hope you are, check out this great article to help you get up to speed on the new changes
  • Third, Facebook doesn’t want to be left behind I guess, so they are making changes too.  We’ll see how much we like this newest shift in appearance on the social network we all love to hate.  You can even be added to the waiting list to try out these changes.  I’ll let you know what I think in the coming weeks – or whenever I get cleared to try it out.

 

3. PIN of the week

I was going to show you my PIN of the week, but then I though, “Well, that’s dumb.  You should find out what everyone else thinks is the PIN of the week.”

So, there you have it.  You have been instructed by my FUNKI brain to send me your PINS of the week.

4. RECIPE of the week

Well, this one was a no brainer.  I don’t have a picture because I ate it all before I could photograph it but here goes:

franks-red-hot-wing-sauce

Buffalo Slow Cooker Chicken:8-10 chicken legs

1 bottle of Frank’s Red Hot Wings Sauce (Buffalo flavor)

Put wings and sauce in the slow cooker and add 1/2 bottle of water – fill your empty bottle with water, shake (to get all that good sauce off the sides – no waste here!) and then pour into your slow cooker.

Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours until the meat falls off the bone.Pull out bones and other non-edible parts and discard.

Stir.

Serve over rice.

WHOO WHEE!  This is one tasty meal.  One day last week this is all I ate (after breakfast of course).  But if there had been any left I would have probably had it for my first meal the next day too.

Love me some hot wings!!
